Designed for Shimano 105 R7100-series mechanical 2x12-speed drivetrains, this left-hand lever operates the front derailleur and front hydraulic disc brake.

Shimano developed the revised hood shape and lever position using data gathered from riders with a wide range of hand shapes and sizes. The resulting shorter lever-access curve makes the brake lever easier to reach from the hoods, improving comfort, confidence and control. Reach adjustment allows the lever position to be further tailored to the rider’s hands and preferences.

The mechanical shifting mechanism delivers the precise, dependable operation expected from Shimano 105 without batteries, charging or electronic components. Paired with a compatible Shimano hydraulic disc-brake caliper, it provides powerful and consistent braking performance across changing road and weather conditions.
